The Educational Institute on Aging (EIA) will hold its annual Silent Auction on May 23-24 as a part of the TAHSA Annual Meeting in Austin.
The Silent Auction benefits EIA, an organization that serves as a forum to promote research and provide educational opportunities about aging services to the general public and to organizations and individuals involved in housing and services for older adults.
New this year, the majority of the proceeds will benefit the Herb Shore Scholarship Fund. This fund serves to provide scholarships for students in University-sponsored gerontology programs around Texas as well as conference scholarships for first time attendees to the TAHSA Annual Meeting. The fund provides unique opportunities to those who are just getting started in TAHSA involvement or in the aging services field as a whole.
You, your employer, or both can make a tax deductible donation to the Silent Auction. Items that have sold well in past years include: electronics, gift certificates, gift baskets, holiday items, artwork and other crafts. Please contact me if you'd like suggestions of what to donate.
Click here for a Silent Auction Donation Form. Please email or fax the form by Friday, April 22 (the actual donation item does not need to be sent in at that time). All items should be shipped/delivered to the TAHSA office prior to the conference or brought to the conference itself.
