Community Membership

Voting Members
LeadingAge Texas active voting membership is open to the entire continuum of not-for-profit aging care, services and housing providers including: residential living, assisted living, nursing and community based service providers. Voting members are eligible to serve on committees, task forces, peer groups and the Board of Directors. They are also members of LeadingAge our national affiliate. Membership benefits in both associations include advocacy, networking, education and much more.

Parent Organizations
Parent organizations own or sponsor two or more LeadingAge Texas community members. Parent organizations are voting members and receive all the same benefits as community members. There are no annual membership dues for parent organizations.

Associate Membership

Associate Membership includes Organizational, Individual and Business Member categories. These members are eligible to serve on committees, task forces and peer groups. Individual and organizational members qualify to serve on the Board of Directors as specially appointed directors with voting rights. Business Members can neither hold office nor vote.

Organizational Member
An organization that supports the philosophy and purposes of LeadingAge Texas, who is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services to the elderly or are involved in educational programs in the field of aging is eligible to apply for Organizational Membership. Organizational Membership benefits include invitations to semi-annual networking meetings, weekly e-newsletter, education and conference discounts, trade show discounts and access to information on the "Members Only" Web site.

Individual Member
An Individual who supports the philosophy and purposes of LeadingAge Texas, who is not employed by a provider or eligible for organizational or business membership is eligible to apply for Individual Membership. Typically this membership category is for educators, students, retired former members and individuals interested in long-term care and senior service, but not currently employed in that field. Individual Membership benefits include invitations to semi-annual networking meetings, weekly e-newsletter, education and conference discounts, and access to information on the "Members Only" Web site.

(Students currently enrolled in an AIT program are eligible for complimentary student membership)

Business Member
Companies who provide products and services to senior healthcare and housing organizations and who support the philosophy and purposes of LeadingAge Texas may apply to become Business Members. Members receive listing on the Web site and membership directory, a printed copy of the membership directory, weekly communications, trade show, advertising and education discounts, invitations to networking meetings and more.
